Why do people say that if we found/proved alien life that would nullify the existence of God?
This doesn't make sense to me, surely the logical option is that if God is real he just created them too
@anon - we couldn't prove the existence of atoms until the 19th century so kind of a pointless statement there buddy

Because they pretend that God didn't create extraterrestrial life. But God has placed his human children on countless worlds. We shall learn that soon enough, but that is one secret governments would kill to keep.

Some people say some stuff; some other people say some OTHER stuff.
Some people might even say that one of the Gods created THIS planet, and some OTHER God or Goddess created ANOTHER planet.
Astronomers HAVE discovered that at least ONE galaxy is colliding with another galaxy.
As a result, SOME people, might have a FEELING that is is proof that the Gods and/or Goddesses which created The Universe, did not all agree where all the pieces should end up.
After all, religions are based on FEELINGS, not FACTS.
(For example: For CENTURIES, otherwise intelligent Greeks had a FEELING that the tides were moved by the God known as Poseidon. And the FACT that the tides DID move, reinforced their FEELING.)

That's the problem with all these supernatural "explanations"--no matter what seemingly contradictory evidence against these stories is found, the true believers will always try to explain it away as yet another of "God's mysteries," and none of those convenient stories can be tested for confirmation. Very convenient for you.
And in regard to your comment regarding atoms--as natural, physical objects, they can be "seen," and measured, and their presumed properties and behavior can be predicted, tested and verified. The same is true regarding anything which is part of the natural world but has not yet been discovered--even if the technology to detect or measure them is not yet available, if they're natural, then at least in principle, it will be possible for us to know about them eventually. The same CANNOT be said for a supernatural god, who by virtue of its supernaturalness, can be anything or nothing, anywhere or nowhere, all at its own whim, and completely transcending any and all physical means of detection. So, you can't legitimately compare your god to ANY known physical anything that is subject to the laws of physics as have been formulated. You're trying to compare apples to unicorns.

Hypothetically, It will for sure logically nullify the existence of some earth human centrist religious arrogance... But like when the Solar system was proposed over the geocentric model. Religious cosmology never need to deal with reality...

Probably because some people would say that god could have been an alien. Some of the stories in the bible could be accounts of alien visits to earth. Jonah's whale could have been an alien submarine, Jesus ascending to heaven could have been an alien spaceship, the virgin birth could have been artificial insemination. It would certainly give alien theorists lots of ammunition.

we don't know if God made other lifeforms on other planets.

People say a lot of things, maybe they're right, maybe they're wrong, and maybe they have no idea of what they're talking about. We haven't found any extraterrestrial life yet so the question is academic. Chances are, we're not going to find any in the near future, not with our technology. We've been broadcasting radio signals for about 110 years, so aliens would have to be within 110 light years of earth to intercept our signals. The galaxy in 100,000 light years in diameter.

"Aliens" don't exist at all. There are devils that will pretend to be whatever will deceive you away from the Bible and into hell
Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.
The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

It wouldn't but it could disprove the divinity of Jesus....

God doesn't exist whether you find an alien or not.
Why do people say there is a god, when it is very obvious there is not?
