• 56/11 DIVIDED by 4

This is EASY because you are dividing by a whole number !

You do this by MULTIPLYING the 11 by 4

• You want to divide a fraction by an integer, so:

(56/11) / 4

Division is the same as the multiplication of the reciprocal, so:

(56/11) (1/4)

Now multiply the fractions. 4 is a factor of 56 so that cancels out to leave:

14/11

• Really??? Use a calculator. Convert the fraction to a number and then divide that number by 4. I guess 2nd grade math is hard for you.

Best wishes

• Using a calculator will give you the answer as a decimal and WON'T teach you how to divide fractions !
