No. I think Hovind knows perfectly well that it's bull crap. He just makes money from suckers.

Which extremist sect or cult indoctrinated you to believe that God was not clever enough to use the big bang, evolution and science as his tools?

Pope Francis says the theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God is not “a magician with a magic wand” putting an end to the “pseudo theories” of creationism and intelligent design! So the Catholic Church, Church of England and mainstream churches all accept the big bang and evolution!

Lord Carey the former Archbishop of Canterbury put it rather well – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist approach to scripture, ignoring scholarship and critical learning, and confusing different understandings of truth”!

Christian Fundamentalist is a complete contradiction in terms!

CHRISTIAN – A follower or believer in Jesus.

FUNDAMENTALIST One who believes the Bible is literally true and must be followed exactly.

Therefore they are followers of the bible and not Jesus making them non Christians!

But worse is to follow it also makes them ideologists.

IDEOLOGY An idea that is false or held for the wrong reasons but is believed with such conviction as to be irrefutable.

So Christians have a loving and forgiving god and fundamentalist - well - Just are not Christians!

  • That, and just about every other creationist YouTuber.

And it also applies to the lay creationists who lap up and regurgitate the BS they find in those creationist videos and  web sites and regurgitate it here on Y!A.

Evolution has all the evidence it needs, and all the creationists have is BS and myth-based nonsense.

On the one hand, it is nonsense.  It is a story about talking animals and magic, and makes as much sense as the mythology of the Olympians or the creation stories of Australian Aboriginals.  I am amazed that anyone over the age of 13, in 2019, thinks the creation stories from the Bible are anything but 'stories.'

On the other hand, I have to admire the consistency of Creationists. Most Christians cherry pick from the Bible, ignoring the embarrassing nonsense while still trying to claim 'some' of the Bible is valid. They want it 'both ways,' claiming "the Bible isn't 'fact,' but is it still 'truth.'" Creationists may be wrong... but at least they are consistent in their wrongness.

If you ever listen to Hovind's presentations, 99% of what he does is quote from evolutionists. They are all over the place on the issue, contradicting one another all the time.

In debates, he often stumps his opponents with simple questions such as, "How do you know that?".

What Hovind really highlights is how the only real thing that keeps evolutionism on life support are ad hominemns made against its opponents. Most people are frightened by name calling, so will say whatever the name caller wants to hear to avoid the ridicule. So it's no surprise that rather than address his arguments, he himself is attacked and ridiculed--just like is done in this forum. Whenever I offer scientific evidence against the failed theory, the counter argument will be something like: "you're an idiot".

    • Hovind has been shown to be stupid so many times his head must be spinning trying to keep up with it.

And you are in the same category.

Thats funny but no not really.

Creationism is a frontier of ignorance: what do we NOT know and how can we use it to blind others with this lack of knowledge.

Creationism - a discipline that, in all its time, has neither

given nor discovered ANYTHING new to mankind.

And, its ONE mission - to prove/validate the BuyBull -

has been a total and colossal failure.

    What an accomplishment!!
