Why is it so hard to get funding for small business?

The banks look at your risk factors and your financial situation.

Do you mean...why do they make it difficult?
Banks are the same as anyone else with money...they aren't willing to give it away. They will lend it out with the expectation of more money back in the future. If you are unlikely to pay it back, they don't lend you the money.
Since banks don't use violence and we don't have debtors prisons anymore...banks aren't as likely to lend people money.

If you don't have a business plan that shows a strong likelihood of success, why would a lender throw away his money by investing
