People with severe mental health: do you ever feel doctors fob you off and blame everything on your mental health?

For instance, if you were in extreme pain and they said, 'oh, that's just your anxiety' like they do with me.

  • My old doctor always blamed it on my weight actually.  She's since retired and I haven't been to a doctor in three years but at that time, I was maybe 20 pounds overweight and I know that was not the cause of such bad social anxiety that I've had all of my life.

I don't usually have this problem. Most of my issues ARE stemming from my mental health. If anything, I have this issue with friends more than my doctor. They'll assume any minor inconvenience is just my psychosis or me being ill
