How to dry and preserve a dead Crawfish?

Long story short

Recently bought an absolutely stunning one, but she died. She’s a cobalt dwarf, and she’s died very recently. I don’t want to throw her out. I was wondering if I could preserve her? Has anyone ever done so before?

And if not, would it be alright if I fed her to my Neon Red crawdad? Would he eat her?

I’m upset about her death, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about it. I’m doing art for my IGCSE’s and she’s a stunning spectacle. Even though I failed her as an owner I’d like to draw her.

I think the best idea would be to clean the crawfish, then gently pour clear resin over it, ensuring no bubbles form

...either that or submerge in boiling water for 15 minutes
