Do NFL football players have to go to college to be drafted into a team?

    Pretty much. I mean Mark Wahlburg played in a movie, where a guy off the street ended up playing for the Eagles. I forgot the name of that movie, but yeah.. lol.

    They must be 3 years pasr HS but college not required but it is rare

    The movie with Whalburg playing for the Eagles was based on a true story. The guy played 3 years.

    There have been other players drafted such as punters who played Australisn rules football. In 2018 the Eagles drafted a Rugby player as an Offensive lineman. A couple years ago a rugby player made the 49ers team as a reserve running back snd kijck returner

    A player has a better chance of getting drafted in college than right out of high school.

    It isn't like the NBA where 18-19 year olds can bypass NCAA college sports to go play for the NBA, the NFL make you play NCAA Football for at least 3 or 4 seasons before making the jump to the NFL.

    No, but almost all of them played college ball.
