Is there a cheaper option to travel when going from Munich to Rome other than the Eurorail? Another rail line I could use?

Eurail is a type of ticket, not a railway line.

You could book seats in advance, google Seat 61, or ask a travel agent.

The reason why it might seem expensive is because it's a very long train journey, you'd be going overnight, but it will be amazing.

Eurorail/Eurail isn't a specific train line. It's a pass that you can use on various trains throughout Europe. You can take a many trains as you want for the number of travel days you purchase. If you're going to travel a lot on your trip, it can be a good deal. However, if this is the only travel you'll do, you're probably better off with a budget flight. https://www.eurail.com/en/get-inspired/everything-... . Alitalia and Lufthansa have some direct one-way flights for as low as $54 or so depending on when you want to go and how far in advance you buy the ticket. https://www.kayak.com/flights

I’m showing you could fly in 3.5 hours for roughly the same price as the 13.5 hour train ride. In fact, the tix I looked at were cheaper to fly.
