Brexit, why a too, too much simple question, just "YES or NOT", as for a child, without underlining consequences, was submitted to people?
The origin of all trubles comes from that point, probably.

In such a serious referendum as leaving the EU, the YES or NO scenario was an index finger that pointed at the stupidity and roughish ways of politicians like Bozo Johnson and his cronies.
Just the stupidity of not making just one stipulation regarding the rules by which the referendum should be run,was utter incompetence. But that was most probably part of the leave strategy.
Parliament should have stipulated that a simple majority wouldn't be acceptable and that a qualifying majority of 2 thirds either for or against must be recoded. If not, then the referendum would fall. That would have been the democratic way.
The electorate voice and vetted their dissatisfaction on the wrong party, namely the EU. And why? because the UK's politicians and right-wing press have been giving the EU the blame for everything: from ducks dying in Regents Park to blocked drains in Buckingham Palace.
It has been too convenient for politicians to hide their own misgivings and misconduct behind the EU.
So who are they going to blame now? You've got it, those that voted out. Politicians will say that selling the NHS to the Yanks is one of the many unfortunate side-affects of leaving the EU.
We are very sorry but, it's not our fault: you wanted to leave.
But, there's one good point the wealthy can now sleep tight at night safe in the knowledge that their off-shore tax-free accounts, will be free from the EU's tax probes.

PM Cameron had won the Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014. He was on a bit of a high, so when Lib-Dems goaded him to put up or shut up about the EU and he was under a constant bombardment of criticism about the EU in his own party because of UKIP.....
He thought: Fine. You want a referendum, I’ll give you one.
And here we are. Billions in lost GDP because of the whole WREXIT mess.
The latest deal is beyond AWFUL and will sink our nation.
Time is up. Let’s REVOKE now and stop this madness.

The whole darn mess came from David Cameron, thinking that the British Public, would make an informed decision, based on information, rather than fed lies, that they fell for, hook, line & sinker.

It had to be simple so that the thick stupid public who don't understand these things could vote to remain. What could possibly go wrong
I seem to remember that the Government (our highly intelligent leaders who spent £12M pushing remain) promised out of the single market and out of the customs union if we voted out, and to honour the result of the referendum. Some hope
Let's just have a referendum every week until we give them the right answer, then we can just carry on like nothing happened

Could we have that again in English?
I bet you voted remain, another dope.

The referendum was advisory. PM Cameron thought it was obvious there would be a majority to remain.

It always seemed to me that giving the electorate such a simple choice was a massive cop out, if the question was, indeed that simple, Parliament itself could have decided in the time honoured way, but, Camoron was so scared of losing the election he slung the referendum in without thinking it through, then, rashly went ahead with it well before the deadline, ran a useless, bland campaign and let leave steal it with cheap political stunts, massive spending and blatant lies. Now, Boris trying to bluster and bully his way through with this bad agreement at the last minute, frightening really...
NOTE, BY THE WAY. The Tories are now not referring to this as a deal anymore, now it's an agreement...

It was the ultimate in switch selling. The Leave campaign, led by Boris Johnson, promised us an Earthly paradise if only we could break free of the shackles of the EU. Some people (although not many) actually believed him. Now they know he lied and he's trying to foist a different deal on us.
Some people voted leave as a protest against the Cameron government. Now they've got something worse.
Some people voted leave because they "fought a war against Hitler and don't want anything to do with them foreigners". They have subsequently died.
The only people who still support Brexit are the disgustingly rich who want to avoid the consequences of the European Tax Avoidance Directive (although we have the option to opt out) and those racists and xenophobes who want to harm our country.

The consequences were underlined, trouble is most of those were lies.
