Is it true the if you give a man a fish then you feed him for a day but if you teach a man to fish...?

Then he has to get a fishing license. But he doesn't have any money, so he has to get a job and enter the social security system. And he has to file taxes, and you're gonna audit the poor son of a ***** because he's not really good at math. You pull the IRS van up to his house and take everything. You take his velvet Elvis and his toothbrush and it all goes up for auction with the burden of proof on him because he forgot to carry the 1. All because he wanted to eat a fish, and he couldn't even cook the fish because you need a permit for an open flame.

Give a man the tools to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day!

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to phish, and he'll clean out your bank account.

  • If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day.

If you teach him how to fish he will buy a boat and spend all day out on it in the sun fishing, and most likely get skin cancer and die, leaving behind a grieving widow and 3 little kids. The mother most probably winner be able to afford to keep up the lifestyle they were used to, and the kids will have very little to eat and have to wear old torn clothes.

Do you really want that on your conscience?

No. If you give a man a fish he eats for a day. If you give a man a fishing rod he uses it for firewood.

  • Not at all. None of that is true.
