Can straight men become gay?

No. If they change, they were not 100% straight in the first place.

yes many straight men have become gay in middle age due to low testosterone and many men have become gay following brain injury to the frontal part of their brain following car accidents

Yes they can as their hormone levels drop. Many older gay men have told me that as young men they were straight and married and had children but in their 40s they started to find their sexual attractions starting to be more towards other males.

Sometimes straight men do not recognize their gay feelings or they choose to hide them. Then one day these feelings come bubbling to the top and the person can no longer pretend they do not exist. Then they come out later in life. So..... all along you thought the guy was straight and then boom. He comes out. Probably not happily.

What ever our sexuality is, it is.
We can live a life that is a lie, that is to say you could live as an alternative sexuality, but that wont make you that sexuality.
Only bisexuals have the luxury of making a choice as while they can entertain either sex they can also choose to only seek out (be with) one sex and so to the casual observer could appear to be a sexuality and its not always one way, I have dated a bi guy who choose not to be with women.

Yes. There's a case of a hetero guy who had a head injury when playing rugby and woke up to discover he was gay. Also, and this is a bit different, sexual orientation shifts from gynephilia to androphilia in a third of cases when trans women go on HRT, but that's more a case of sexual orientation shifting.

No. Sexual orientation is hard wired into the brain. If a guy who identified as straight starts identifying himself as gay, that just means he was gay all along and it took time for him to accept it in himself and/or come out and openly admit it to others.
What straight men can do is engage in homosexual sex with another guy, whether for experimentation to see what it's like or as part of a friends-with-benefits arrangement with a close trusted friend. It is possible to enjoy it without ever feeling any attraction for that individual or for guys in general.

It can turn out that they were just closeted, or they can become bisexual - but they can't 'become gay'.
- Big MamaLv 67 months ago
It s possible, but this means they weren t really straight, maybe bisexual at most. Sexuality is fluid in most people, but it s rare for a 100% straight guy to become gay.

The difference between a straight guy and a gay guy is about 3 pints of lager !

Yes, straight men can decide to become homosexuals but they do not have to practice the lifestyle. Those who wanted to become Christians in the first century came from various backgrounds and lifestyles, and some of them made significant lifestyle changes. For example, the Bible speaks of “those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts,” and then it adds: “That is what some of you were.”—1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Note that the Bible does not say that a Christian will never experience an improper desire. Rather, it says that he or she will choose not to carry out that desire. Christians learn to bring such desires under control, not dwelling on them to the point of acting on them.—James 1:14, 15
