Will President Trump be impeached? If a trial is held in the senate, will he be convicted or absolved?

Impeached likely since the Dem's the last 2 years have been calling for impeachment, convicted in the Senate, unlikely to get 20 GOP senators to flip, taking the polls at their word (don't forget 2016 where newsweek claimed 3 weeks before the election Clinton was going to win the electoral college in a landslide https://www.newsweek.com/hillary-clinton-track-ele... the state polls show Trump approval rantings in GOP Senate states above 50% in majority

Then you look at the fact the Dem's are working behind closed doors and refusing to follow the previous 2 impeachments trials procedures

    can we say Trump 2020?

President Trump may be impeached by the House, but the elected democrats will pay the price for it.

Yes, he is going to be impeached, Pelosi already has the votes. The Senate? That will depend on American opinion. They live and die by their state polls. Already a majority of Americans want him impeached and removed. Once the Articles of Impeachment are revealed the Senate is going to have to do some tricky footwork to ignore the obvious.

impeachment is a foregone conclusion at this point, 228 Representatives have already come out and said they will vote to impeach, it only takes 218, conviction and removal is not as sure, however it would only take 20 of the 53 Republican Senators to join the 47 Democratic Senators to have enough votes to convict and remove him, The Republicans in the Senate are not Trump sycophants like the ones in the House, and over the last two weeks we have been seeing a lot of cracks in the Republican ranks in the Senate, 3 Republican Senators (Romney, Sasse, and Collins) have already come out and indicated that they believe the president should be removed, Most Republican Senators are not saying anything and those that do just say, "I want to see all the evidence before making a decision" it's not looking great for Trump

Collins has nothing to do with the Impeachment goz, she’s a senator.

He will likely be impeached in the house, but not found guilty by the Party before country Republicans in the Senate.

He most likely will be impeached, and McConnell made it clear he was gonna do his duty to carry it out. I guess it's just not worth obstructing that.

But he will be absolved in the Senate. But that's fine. He's already an impeached president, and the GOP senators and Joe Manchin who protected him will look like idiots.

Good luck making the case to independents why they should reelect an impeached president, LOL.

Source(s): Can't wait, though. It's gonna be EPIC, like Ben "Wannabe Christian" Shapiro would say.
