What can I use to stop cactus arms from drooping? ?

I have bought a large cactus that has lots of smaller arms. Once I removed the protective plastic film it was wrapped in, the arms started to droop. What can I use to keep the arms connected to the main body of the cactus so that they don’t end up snapping off? I have tied some twine around the plant for the meantime but I’m obviously looking for more practical, easy-on-the-eyes solution.
