Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues:?

Are both these sentences correct, and do they mean the same:

a) "I'm not rich,  but I have A PATRIMONY assessed in about 500 thousand Euros, and I still expect to increase it. "

b) "I'm  not rich, but I have AN ESTATE assessed in about 500 thousand Euros, and I still expect to increase it."

Note: By the way, that's not the value of my patrimony/estate.

I expect to increase it still more.

I wasn't familiar with the word patrimony, but I looked it up and it appears to mean the same as estate.
