Should Yahoo Answers be like Stackoverflow and have the users vote for moderators to enforce the rules?

Like Stack's moderators they get nothing in return other than the privilege of enforcing the rules. At Stack the terms are for 1 year and in order to run for moderator you have to be a member in good standing and also have earned certain badges. They don't have badges here but that's besides the point. Thoughts?

Update:

I moved this from "Yahoo Answers" to "Polls & Surveys" in order to try and get more responses.

Update 2:

I moved it back.

Just about anything would be an improvement over the hands off approach they are using now. But no one at Yahoo is interested in investing any real time or effort into improving this site.

What they should do is Yahoo Hires someone to Actually Moderate the Site but there not gonna there not gonna Spend the $$$$$ to do that Yahoo Answers is Community Moderated which sometimes works other times does not
