The basic rule is that anyone recognized as a Jew by a mainstream Jewish community is eligible for Aliyah. This includes not only Orthodox converts, but Reform and Conservative ones as well. As Israel is actually quite secular, it doesn't have a specific religious bar for converts to meet, so it'll take converts of these sects in and give them citizenship unquestionably. I'm unsure if that applies to Reconstructionist Jewish converts, though, and the so-called "Messianic Jews" are ineligible because they're recognized as Christian.

If you live outside Israel, convert to Judaism and stay outside, because you will never feel discriminated more than living as a second or third level Jewish in the Apartheid state of Israel.

If you live in Israel, May God help you, Ask Ethiopian Jews and you will understand.
