Will Australia impose sanctions on China?

Update:

It's about making a statement. China is an authoritarian regime that hates democracy and human rights. We should not be in bed and trading with them. China should be economically starved/cut off until they change their ways.

We do not want this evil government to have the chance of becoming the world's #1 economy.

I very much doubt it as Australia exports more to china than it imports unlike America which exports little to China so have a massive debt to them. If Australia imposed sanctions on China it would devastate the Australian economy and we cannot have it done to us as Trump has already caused Australian exports to drop and made our dollar fall in value. The Australian economy is fairly good and has held up ok even though America is struggling.

Unfortunately, western politicians and corporations are sell outs to China. Australia is certainly not alone in this regard, American company Blizzard recently stripped one of their game's players of all his prize money and banned him because he spoke about wanting freedom for Hong Kong. American companies are pathetic, they value Chinese money more than integrity and principles.
