Why do we breathe in co2 and then die from it? Can’t we use our own air to self breathing?

We breathe out CO2, as a waste product.

We don't die from breathing CO2. If we rebreathe air, we die from a lack of oxygen because our body uses all of it. CO2 isn't poisonous, it's just not a gas that humans can survive on.

CO is the poison gas, it binds to our red blood cells and doesn't allow them to bind to oxygen.

Humans do die when breathing CO2

    Inhaled air is by volume

    78.08% nitrogen,

    20.95% oxygen and

small amounts include argon, carbon dioxide, neon, helium, and hydrogen.

    The gas exhaled is

4% to 5% by volume of carbon dioxide, about a 100 fold increase over the inhaled amount.

    We produce CO2? So no?

I think we die because the co2 is contaminated but our body has pure air already
