Very useful as they are required to keep your licence(s)

Useful, provided you pick them appropriately. Otherwise it’s hard to keep up on new developments, treatments, failures, side effects, etc some are just pretty interesting

Aren't they required to keep your license in effect?

Some will teach you how to do brain surgery and some will tell you about how healthy a banana is.
