Just open the doors and windows and let it leave. It doesn't want to be there either and you'll usually find them flying towards daylight looking for a way out.

During the last weeks of summer, wasps are a nuisance here as they come to the food and the drinks at table.

If you give them a purposive hit with the plain hand or flip them away, they are spacy for a short time and come to the ground, but are still quite twitchy there.

As I'm a barefooter with tough soles, I'm used to step on them with my heels after that and I've never got stung.

It's important to step down not too fast, but not too slow.

If wasps are already weakened on the ground and are merely moving slowly, as sometimes in bakeries, I rather use my balls, with slighty tightened toes.

For non-barefooters it's quite remarkable that's no problem to do this, and I like to get rid of them in this eco-friendly way.

Why kill it. Just crush a small piece of fruit like watermelon or grape on a spoon.

Offer it to the wasp. the wasp being thirsty, goes for the fruit and just escort it outside.

    Collect the spoon after dark.

I do that by hand and never stung:
