I purchased the Piranha Plant in smash and it’s not on my roster?

I just bought the Piranha Plant this morning and it’s not on my roster. I even double checked and the purchase was confirmed. What do I do?

    Make sure that you've downloaded the DLC at the point of purchase. Then make sure you exit the game and relaunch it.

    If you entered eShop while the game was loading to make the purchase and download it, the game has to be reloaded to get the new data.
