Herbs don't tear your body down like antibiotics do. There are chemicals in plants and herbs that can really turn your immune system on.

It is choosing health over one's lifestyle issues. Lifestyle issues have produced the great plagues of history. I always tell folks to THINK ABOUT IT. Have your sins produced your diseases? Have the sins of your forefathers produced your diseases?

It is a lot of work and takes a great deal of time and is invasive.

There are little or no advantages of naturopathic care over conventional medicine. It is mostly pseudoscience. If you are sick, see a proper doctor.

Really? With the synthetic medicines they are currently making, they are doing more harm than good, a pain killer for people taking chemo that can cause you to have cancer again. And the side effects that modern medicine causes, you should be shot.

First let me dispel the notion that there is no scientific research showing that herbal medicine works. Essential oils and herbs have been researched extensively and the findings can be found throughout peer reviewed journals. Here is one example for lavender oil:

    The advantages...

The biggest advantage is our bodies have evolved over millions of years to use plant to stay healthy and heal certain conditions. Let's go back to early primates running through the jungle, eating whatever looked or smelled good at the time. Their digestive systems would pull out the things it needed and discard the rest. It's not hard to imagine those primates which developed a sense of smell for whatever was most beneficial at the time would have an evolutionary advantage.

Us humans are no different. If it smells good, your body probably needs it. Essential oils are very good for staying healthy and restoring health. I have found they are excellent for controlling inflammation and chronic pain. They are also good for skin conditions. Got toenail fungus? Use tea tree oil. It works better than anything the doctor has. Bug bites? Lavender oil. It kills the itch instantly.

Most essential oils diffuse through the skin and get right to work where needed. This is important because this method of administration bypasses the digestive system, meaning you need a whole lot less to be effective. Side effects are rare because these are natural substances administered at a low does.

Conventional medicine does have its place. Essential oils do nothing for bone on bone knee pain. Then its time to get it replaced. Heavy duty pain meds are great for acute pain- like getting your wisdom teeth pulled.

a certified nutritionist told me, 3-5gram of C-complex a week should help build that cushion,
of course the quacks won't use it, they won't make money off it........they curse natural solutions, as a bane to their income.....and so will do everything to undermine it......

The advantages to naturopathic medicine are that there are very few side effects.

The disadvantages are that none of the treatments are supported by scientific research and that most have been shown to not work. If you have a serious illness you will want to go to an MD or DO as their treatments have been researched and proven to be effectual.
