What would a dead body look like after 20/25 years?

Assuming standard, modern burial in a climate like New York

    Depends If you open it after 25 years ,the skin might look the same but turned to dust . There is still bacteria in the gasket

    embalming makes it somewhat unpredictable. At that point there would be no moisture beyond anything that got into the casket from the ground though how it's sealed is going to make a massive difference too. Usually it would be just bones at that point but some bodies dry out and last longer with some skin. Usually that happens in dryer places though.
