bought an engine over the internet.  trying to find out what year and what vehicles it will go in.?

Update:

I was to get an motor to fit an 2005 Subaru Baja Turbo.  Mechanic state it will not fit and I want to find out what engine I bought.  No paperwork can with the engine.

    If it’s definitely a Subaru engine (that should be obvious) then tru contacting Subaru in your country with the engine number to ask them.

    Don’t be too surprised if you then find it links to a stolen car meaning that you don’t actually own what you paid for. If that happens then your losses won’t be much higher than they already are, as the engine is presently useless to you and only worth scrap value if you cannot tell potential buyers exactly what it’s for.
