Can anyone give any examples on how "toxic masculinity" is harmful to men?

Oddly enough Kevin Spacey has played a lot of these characters, evil bosses who berate and belittle their male subordinates at work. That would be one example of how (this concept of) "toxic masculinity" harms men. Men have been dealing with male jerks for years. They just never felt the need to make a hashtag out of it.

Man-spreading can cause leg numbness which if left that way for a long period of time, can cause permanent stoppage of circulation, resulting in required amputation.

You're using a man's name. Why?  If you owned a set of nuts, you'd know how foolish your answer is.

What does that mean? "won't invalidate their feeling?"  Are you saying that friends who DO invalidate a man's feelings are bad?

I'm not going to dignify the concept of "toxic masculinity" answering a question about it other than why we shouldn't use the term. It will inevitably (rightfully) cause offense and it seldom brings any clarity to the situation to anyone who isn't already sexist.

Toxic masculinity is about holding onto a cultural idea of masculinity that's harmful to men, women or society. One of the most pervasive ways toxic masculinity causes harm is in the way boys are socialized into it. When parents teach a child that part of being a "man" involves physical violence, being physically superior to females, or bullying, they're setting the boy up to be in conflict and interpersonal alienation as an adult.

Well, yeah, boys are allowed and expected to be masculine.

Men use aggression, intimidation, and physical force as forms of toxic masculinity to improve their rank in their own hierarchy. Alpha males are at the top, dominant males who make the rules. Beta males support the status quo while trying to protect themselves. Those at the bottom of the male social hierarchy suffer terribly.
