    1964, 1965, 1966 and 1967.

    I don't think there's any generally accepted date when it ended. I'd say from late 63 until the late 1960s.

    I would say 67 or 68 - by the time of the "summer of love" it was fading.

      They both should have packed it in decades ago. I saw The Who on their "Farewell Tour" in Seattle in Oct. 1982! R.S. should have quit when Mick Taylor left them. In the ensuing 44 years, they've scarcely made a double-album worth of tracks worth listening too. A parody of themselves.
