Mot test on a Republic Of Ireland Car?
I have an opel corsa I'm currently in the uk and my NCT has ran out.
Can I get an MOT in the uk and will it do me over in Ireland to get nct pass certificate

No. An MOT is recorded against the cars UK registration with DVLA.
Your car doesn't have the DVLA registration to record it against.
If your NCT has expired, then the car is no longer road-legal in ROI, and therefore is also no longer road-legal in the UK.
Your options are: register the car in the UK and get an MOT
Trailer the car to Ireland to get an NCT.
You cannot legally continue to use the car until you do one of the above.

You "can" if you are able, you "may" if the rules allow it..

Since thousands of UK cars with mots must travel to Ireland over time it must be valid.
