How would I install a reverse osmosis filter in my kitchen sink?
Is it easy for a person who has no knowledge of plumbing to do or do you need a plumber? Or someone more qualified than a plumber?

It depends upon what you buy. If you buy the Watts premier RO Pure filter, it is as easy as it will get. Not only to install, but to change out the filters. There are 4 individual filters that snap in and seal with an O-ring. There is also a RO water faucet, so you will need an extra hole in the sink or give up the sprayer, which is some more work. Hooking it up is easy enough for a homeowner who can do home maintenance. Buy one and read the instructions and figure out how you would put it in. And then from that, figure out if you can do it. You will be down under the sink which is a guarantee for a sore back or you lay on the chair cushions or something.

No it's not that difficult at all for the small, under the sink style units. Just gotta follow the directions precisely and remember that you gotta change the filters regularly (it states how long they last)
