If the magnificent advanced Byzantine empire was never destroyed by the ottoman barbarians would we be more advanced scientifically today?

    No. Byzantine science wasn't remarkably advanced. Other cultures were just as advanced or more so.

    Well, I definitely think we should get some compensation for it.

    Probably not, the majority of their Science and Maths was pretty basic but a very good starting point for the advances made in the last 2 centuries. The most advanced Mathamatics at that time was in India which then heavily influenced the Arabic regions in their knowledge.

    Probably.

    Even more so if Alexandria hadn't been burned down by the barbarian Roman Christians.

    Or if Medieval Christian Europe hadn't been so terrified of being "polluted" by Muslim science.
