Why do some youtube channels join but not make a youtube video in years?

Example is:William Mcmillan, Fmpoyi1. He joined on march 30 2010 but started making videos november 4-6 2017

    If you want to view videos that are flagged as mature, you need an account. Also without an account you can’t make playlists, view your video history, like or comment on videos.

    People will create an account to do those things with no intention of making content themselves. After many years, they might decide to upload some videos.

    Basically, there are many many benefits of making a YouTube account. The ability to upload videos is only 1 of them and isn’t the main benefits people make an account for.
