Can veggies give you food poisoning?

    Yes. There have been several outbreaks of salmonella from vegetables.

    Yes, of course. They can develop mold or be contaminated in the cooking process. Improperly home-canned vegetables are a major cause of botulism.

    This occurs when a person eats food contaminated with bacteria, parasites, viruses, or toxins.

    Different types of food can cause FP by improperly  storing, preparing and cooking.

    Veggies and leafy greens  are common for FP.

    Like cabbage, celery, tomatoes, spinach & lettuce.

    From un clean water or dirty run offs which all seep into the ground, where these foods grow, from dirty processing equipment to poor hygienic practices.

    Leafy greens are the worst since most are eaten raw!

    Fruits and pre made fruit salads are as bad if not taken care of proper.

    Fruits grown on the ground ( melons,) can carry a higher risk for FP.

    Fresh/Frozen are also a common source for FP ( raspberries,blackberries, straw berries, and blueberries). By a virus or bacterica.

    There is often dangerous food issues with Sprouts.

    Yes, if prepared in a way that allows contamination.

    If not washed properly they can but it is relatively uncommon in most areas of the country.
