This occurs when a person eats food contaminated with bacteria, parasites, viruses, or toxins.
Different types of food can cause FP by improperly storing, preparing and cooking.
Veggies and leafy greens are common for FP.
Like cabbage, celery, tomatoes, spinach & lettuce.
From un clean water or dirty run offs which all seep into the ground, where these foods grow, from dirty processing equipment to poor hygienic practices.
Leafy greens are the worst since most are eaten raw!
Fruits and pre made fruit salads are as bad if not taken care of proper.
Fruits grown on the ground ( melons,) can carry a higher risk for FP.
Fresh/Frozen are also a common source for FP ( raspberries, blackberries, straw berries, and blueberries). By a virus or bacterica.
