What do you think of the name Betty on its own (not short for anything)?

I tend to like formal first names (in this case Elisabeth or Elsbeth), with Betty as a NN. But it's certainly a classic.

Many of the older names are coming back into favor and Betty is one of them. I actually like it.

My name is Beth. When I was growing up, I only met one other Beth. My real name is Beth, not Elizabeth.

I'd never use it. It's very dated and makes me think of Archie comics.

Horrible! It’s ugly and too old fashioned

Betty is short for Elizabeth. Betty is rather old fashioned and dated! I think a popular version today would be Bethany! I think Betty is a nice name! If you want to call your your daughter Betty, then it is your choice!

I think of my husband grandma (her name was Betty).

Makes me think of a grandmother

Betty in the fifties was a term for beautiful.

In the eighties, it was a name that some larger people had.

I don't know what it mean 40 years later.
