Why was the scale different each time?

My daughter was weighed on Monday and then today. It said she weighed 13 pounds 13 ounces today and Monday it said 13 pounds 8 ounces.. she didn't have any clothes on and just a diaper but today she had on a long sleeve onesie with MAYBE a slightly wet diaper. Could that effect her weight difference within a few days? I doubt she gained 7 ounces in 2 days

Weight can vary by several ounces depending on what she is wearing (babies are usually weighed completely naked because clothes/diapers DO make a difference) and the contents of her stomach, bladder and bowel.

Which is why it's usually not recommended to weigh babies that often. Once baby has regained her birthweight, usually every 1-2 months is ample.
