Is there an insect repellent that is safe to use on cars?

Our parking lot is under some trees that drop honeydew on everyone's car. This attracts thousands of flies and all sorts of bees. Seeking something we could coat car with and come back several hours and not have it coated in flies and bees.

Why not try a 12V high frequency insect repeller under your bonnet or hood

    A few alternatives,,

    >Don't park under the trees.

    >if you must park under the trees, try a decent car cover.

    > ignore the flies and bees, they won't eat your car, maybe keep windows roiled up.

    > We need the trees, bees, and flies for a healthy environment, don't rid any of them.

Most people use a car covering. Even a tarp would work.

Maybe you should consider a washable car cover instead.

Not that I know of. If you can't park elsewhere, I think the best you can do is use a car cover.
