Why is the EU being so rude to Britain?
- STEPHENLv 710 months agoFavourite answer
They know that if they give the UK an easy ride on the way out, there will be a rush for the exits.
There are several other countries that would like to leave.

That is what dictators do. All dictators are bullies. They demand what they want and not what people want. Nothing worse than being a slave.

You could also ask that question the other way round.

They aren't, they are being rude to that waste of carbon Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. Justifiably so, given the way he is messing them around.

They thought they were onto a winner with our last Prime Minister, whose idea it was to leave but, remain politically and economically tied to the E.U for ever more, we would have been paying exactly the same money in, having freedom of movement for E.U workers, having to adopt new E.U rules, regulations and laws, without ANY say whatsoever. For the E.U it was a win, win, win situation. Now we have a new Prime Minister, one who is saying, 'forget what she said, we are not going to just give you everything on a plate, a better deal or we leave with no deal'. We have Luxemburg, a bit of reclaimed landfill, whose only history appears to have been a radio broadcasting station, in the late fifties, trying to humiliate the U.K Prime Minister and only brave enough to do so, to an empty podium.

because they have become a dictatorship and are now dictating to britain, or trying to.

because Russia helped with the "leave" campaign and now UK looks as dumb as the US because Putin shoved tRump up our asses.

They aren't, they are bending over backwards to accommodate the UK and it's problems, eventually, they listen to Boris saying everything is going well, when they know there are NO NEGOTIATIONS and NO CONCRETE PROPOSALS being made a couple of leaders say, put up or go... now all Boris has done is reissue the *talking points* they have, pie in the sky, hopes for solutions, nothing in existence, nothing currently workable, nothing which fits with the EU's foundation laws, to try to be able to blame the EU for the no deal brexit he needs. They've even said the next extension is possible if for a good enough reason...

They're not they've been extremely accomodating, every time we've asked for an extension they've given us it, and in response they've been subjected to a barrage of bigoted abuse by the British gammon class.

Because Britain has said one thing but done another for quite some time now. Either Brexit or don't Brexit but all this stalling isn't helping anyone. I totally sympathise with the EU on this.
