I have antenna TV. I replaced a digital receiver for a better one, and now I have some channels that have narrow pictures ( black bands on both sides ), that weren't there before. I can't change the aspect ratio at all.?

You can switch to zoom or zoom stretch aspect ratio by using the remote that came with your TV.  If you can find the manual for your tv (not the digital box) it should detail how to do it.  Just be mindful you will need to switch it back when you watch a normal channel.  Also some programs may end up looking worse than if you just kept the black bars in place, which is why I don't usually mess with that feature.

The remote for the new receiver should have an aspect ratio button,

or maybe you have to get into a menu to change it.

    Read The Owner's Manual!
