Are there any German Americans in New York City?

I know percentage wise not nearly as many as anywhere in the Midwest probably, but there must be some, because they have German resteraunts don't they?

    Stop in at a Schaller and Weber butcher shop and see who the customers are.

    few significant concentrations. For example, part of Washington Heights was known as the Fourth Reich because of the many Germans, but today is mostly Dominican. Yorkville was famously German, and still has some excellent German (and Hungarian) restaurants. Probably no more than 5-6% of today's NYC population traces to Germany, although of course famously President Trump, from Queens, had a grandfather born in Germany

    But they are still small when compared

    w/ actual ethnic minority groups such as

    blacks & hispanics + asians & ârâbs ťôô.

    German American is a myth , irish American is a myth too . Most Americans are English ! by heritage
