Why does the United States have laws that other countries don’t have?

Why is marijuana legal in other countries but not the United States? Why is prostitution legal in other countries but not the United States? Why are other drugs legal in other countries but not the United States? Why does the United States have censorship and bans on sexual content and nudity but not other countries? Why does the United States have a higher legal drinking age than other countries? A lot of other countries also don’t have age of consent either, so why does the United States have this law? Didn’t the United States learn from alcohol prohibition that prohibition causes more problems? I have no idea why these laws exist in the United States. The United States is a very strict country. Other countries don’t have these laws and they don’t have any problems. The war on drugs was just a war on colored people, the anti drug laws are nothing but bs and are unnecessary. Age of sexual consent laws are pointless too, anybody can consent to sex, rape is strictly only when someone is forced against their will to have sex, nothing else constitutes as rape.

Why are guns legal in the US but not in some other countries... Different places just have different laws. That's all.

Most of these are illegal elsewhere too. So what are you talking about? It would help if you actually knew what the law in other countries is like, which clearly you don't. Just for one example, every country has an age of consent.

All countries pass what ever laws they see fit. It is ridiculous to assume any country is required (by who?) to conform their laws to that of any other country.

Why does Saudi Arabia have laws against gay sex and the US does not?

"Age of sexual consent laws are pointless too, anybody can consent to sex," - So a 4 year old should be able to consent to sex with an adult?

Every country determines their own laws. No country does something just because others do.

With that said, there are areas within the US where marijuana and prostitution are legal.

Your opinion on age of consent is painful to read. There is a fine line between "consent" and "coercion". Predators are very skilled at getting consent through coercion, which is NOT consent.

Because the United States doesn't have to "be like any other or all other countries." We are free to choose our elected officals, communicate with them on what we think of proposed laws, and a free and independant court system where we can question the consitutionality of laws that are enacted.

We the People decide and our laws reflect our desire for higher standards and expectations. Nothing at all "wrong" with that.

Those laws make America the great country it is. Don't like them? We have other laws that say it's okay for you to leave any time you want.

A continuation of slavery. Slavery was outlawed, unless you are in prison. So they wrote petty laws to lock up black people. Then made sure they couldn't vote.
