Is it normal for physicians to fly economy class?

I was wondering because my surgeon preceptor was on the same flight I was on and he was also flying economy class...I thought doctors earned more money why do they still do cheap things?

we fly economy usually, we dont have just wads of cash sitting around to throw it away on a hugely expensive first class seat. we spend the money on certain things at our discretion.

It's not what you make, it's what you keep. My guess it was HIS dime and not a deductible expense. That's how I fly.

Unless you book several weeks in advance, first class seats are usually sold out.
