What Would Be Your Ultimate All-Woman Rock Band?

Rock fans--I'm just curious. Who would be in your ultimate all-woman rock band? Show the name of the musicians and the instrument(s) they play.

(P.s. I have no "feminist agenda" here--this is just for fun).

Here's my list:

1) Lead & Slide Guitar: Bonnie Raitt

2) Guitar: Nancy Wilson*

3) Piano/Keyboards: Christine McVie

4) Bass: Tina Weymouth

5) Drums: Caroline Corr

6) Percussion: Sheila E

7) Lead Vocals: Tina Turner

*Selecting someone for the guitar category was tough. I also considered Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge, but Nancy Wilson barely edged them out. Also I wish I could have found a spot for Chrissie Hynde.

Don't forget what would be my first choice drummer, Cindy Santana (like as in Carlos Santana lol, they may have had something to do with each other)

I would pick Janice Joplin as my lead vocalist. Other possibilities are Kate Bush, Pat Benatar, Grace Slick, Patty Smyth (not Patti Smith) or Sandy Denny.

Hmm... hypothetically speaking (and this would have had to have happened prior to Joni Mitchell's aneurysm):

    Joni Mitchell, guitar and vocals

    Sara Lee, bass

    Carla Bley, keys

    Cindy Blackman Santana, drums

(And I bet this could have actually worked, too.)

I can just think of band members I'd want. Deborah Harry, Chrissie Hynde, Pat Benatar and Janis Joplin
