A common method these days inserts a liner inside the existing pipe to repair breaks. This can be done with access to the pipe at one side of the concrete without access to the entire line.

two choices ... break through the concrete slab or abandon the pipe and install a replacement that doesn't go under the slab. [btw, what is over this 'slab'?]

usually the easiest thing is to simply run a new pipe line. Maybe it can be above the slab at least until you are near the edge.

There are contractors that do that. I don't know how. They don't tear up concrete.
