Name of ancient civilization that was of shorter people who would die of oxygen loss if they left a mtn? Believed entirely destroyed by?

A type of neanderthal civilization of people who were more vicious.

    Seems it was a real civilization. I know that normally humans become more ill as they increase altitude, but apparently this type had some sort of sensitivity to being moved from the mtn. There are also diff types of humans over the entire course of evolution, some were giants. As archaeology has uncovered. Many believe giants are mythological but some have existed.

    High altitudes have less oxygen. Leaving a mountain to go to the valley below would mean going to a place with more oxygen, not less. Your story makes no sense scientifically. People die climbing to the Summit of Mt. Everest because they don't get enough oxygen.

    Neanderthals evolved and lived for 300,000 years or more but they went extinct within 10,000 years or less of the arrival of modern humans to their territory in Europe and West Asia. Neanderthals (5 ft. 5 on average) were shorter than we are because they are adapted to cold climates. Shorter people have less surface area per cu. ft. of volume, and that helps them conserve heat in a cold climate. Modern humans in general average about 5 ft. 9 inches tall. Modern humans are taller and more vicious than Neanderthals.

    There wasn’t any such civilisation except for fictional ones such as the Eloi and Morlocks of HG Well’s 1895 novel, The Time Machine, of which a movie version was released in 1960.

    I don't think that such a civilization as that actually existed. For one thing, the oxygen content decreases as elevation increases. This is why climbers have to use pure oxygen when making the final push to the summit of mountains like K-2 or Everest.
