2003 subaru legacy/outback, at oil temp light on?

2003 subaru legacy/outback, at oil temp light on, replaced transmission with a used one that had nothing wrong with it, light still comes on. Obd in car wont work, any ideas what could be the problem?

    Does the CEL do a bulb check and come on when you turn the ignition on before starting the car? If it doesn't you likely have a PCM problem.

    You need a $3000 scan tool to read the transmission data to make sure all the sensors and solenoids are working with in spec.There may be tranny codes and you'll need the scan tool for that too. Code readers only do OBD II codes.

    Oil light could mean something as simple as time to change the oil.
