Wow, it's really hard to believe that you're autistic. It's even more difficult to believe that you have unsupervised use of the internet.

Yes, hotdogs really have "dogs" in them. If they had cats in them they'd be called "hotcats."

Try to remember that the next time you eat one.

Lol! Friend when you buy a hot dog it's not supposed to have dog or cat meat in it but in today's hot dogs where they take the byproducts from sheep and goats and beef and pork and chicken and turkey and and throw it together in the hot dog meat grinder you never know if they throwing a dog or cat into their also. Once my daughter who was 8 years old saw the hot dog stand outside home Depot and she said I want a hot dog Daddy and I said Rebecca hot dogs have pig lips and cows stomachs in them and she said I don't care I want two.

No, it's just the name but it does not contain any meat from a dog.

They're not meant to, but you couldn't rule it out. During the 2013 UK horsemeat scandal it was discovered that Findus Beef Lasagne not only contained horse, it contained 100 percent horse. That was the most extreme finding of the investigation, but it was generally found that the UK's beef supply was tainted to some extent with illegal horse meat. So if beef lasagne can actually be pure horse, it's always possible that hotdogs might contain some dog. Especially if they happen to be imported from East Asia.

What animal do hot dogs come from?

The most common type of hot dogs are made from beef, sometimes mixed with pork. Chicken and vegetarian hot dogs are popular as well. Animal parts are used in most hot dogs and may include skin, lips, pig snouts, organs, fat, and other parts of animal bodies.
