    No. Just like the United States, they pay taxes to the government.

    No. Do you honestly think that the U.S. parent company would set up a franchise chain in a country with 1.2 billion people without expecting some kind of profit from the operation?

    KFC has to follow Chinese government regulations, which are substantial. But in the case of a fast food franchise operation, the Chinese are not that afraid of having a big US company with a lot of presence in China. It's very different for anything Internet related or that could otherwise compromise security.
