Why does President Trump want to regulate vaping but not guns?

CNN) — Six Americans seem to have died from vaping. Maybe as many as 450 people in the US now have lung-related illnesses from using e-cigarettes, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are on the case, launching a multi-state investigation of severe pulmonary disease among vapers. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is proposing to ban flavored e-cigarettes that he worries are enticing children.

Does vaping doesn't have the constituency to protect it that guns do. Guns have a major lobbying group behind them. Vaping is relatively new. It doesn't have a political constituency behind it and companies who produce vape pens are relatively new. This allows Trump to look like a good guy for doing something for People's Health, but avoids having to have a showdown with a powerful interest group

Because kids aren't tempted to suck on a gun barrel.

Because stupid people will slowly kill themselves by vaping (at great expense to the nation). However, banning guns will not stop EVIL PEOPLE from killing other people ... and with whatever tool is at hand (car, car bomb, gasoline, bomb, knife, rock,,,,).
