The Amazon rainforest cover 5.5 million sq km. Great Britain is not even a quarter of a million sq km. Yes, you could fit GB into the Amazon rainforest a little over 26 times.

Well, the area of Great Britain is 80,823 square miles.

The area of the Amazon rainforest 2,100,000 square miles.

Or put another way - Great Britain is about 600 miles at its longest, by about 300 miles at its widest. The Amazon rainforest is about 2000 miles by 1500 miles.

    What do you think?
