Glass shower door installation question?

A client of mine had a shower installed and bought a sliding glass door sepearate (one stationary glass door; one sliding).

In the installation manual (Maxx halo) it shows some minimum requirements for the shower curb. One requirement is that the shower curb be 1 and 7/8” above the shower pan. Her shower pan is only an inch high above the pan.

Do we need to return it? Doing so would be a hassle, and I just can’t imagine any reason why the curb height matters, after all the track rests on top of it.

Any insight would be helpful

They were specific about the measurement so there is a reason. It it said any height will work then that not specific. Better to go back and find out WHY. These diagrams never show everything. Where you bought it they may have one set up on display somewhere. Ask in plumbing department. Seeing is understanding which is cheaper. than mucking it up the first time and then fighting the rest of the way.

depends on the design theyre all alittle different .. if theres a bottom rail just make sure nothing there would interfere with the mounting or installation hardware with it being that low ..
