    This is what I call biofilm, It accumulates in the pipes of your spa typically due to poor filtration, poor regular circulation in the specific pipes or more commonly lack of sufficient oxidizer (non-chlorine or chlorine base shock treatments). It will and does have to get worse before it gets better and can persist for several months. Once the film has accumulated in the pipes, it eventually, for number of reasons starts to flake out. You will see this mostly after a water change, or heavy shock treatment. (Prevention is the key) But now that you have it,
