Will these tyres fit this bike?

Hi, I have this bike,

https://www.haibike.com/gb/en/ebikes/cross-ebikes/...

It says it has these tyres

Schwalbe Smart Sam, 47-622

I would like to ride the bike on the road a bit more, so I want something a bit more suitable for it. I was looking at these but I'm not sure if they will fit.

Will they fit? if not is it possible for anyone to send me any recommendations that will fit for road use? Thanks and sorry about the long post.

The tires you referred to by Continental come in FIVE different widths. Which one? Your current tires are 700 X 47, meaning the bead seat diameter is 622 and 47 mm wide. You could probably go with ones slightly less wide - say the 700 X 37 tires. No real point going narrower. Might not seat properly on the rim if they're too skinny.

Word to the wise: Those Continental tires are far from their best. Why do ya think they're only £19.95? I asked about them some time ago when I needed new rubber on my touring bike. The guys at my LBS (local bike shop) told me to steer clear of them. If you want a really GOOD street tire that LASTS...get another set from Schwalbe. Maybe something like these... https://www.evanscycles.com/schwalbe-marathon-plus...

What makes you think that the tires supplied with the bike are not suitable for road riding? Narrower tires are not necessarily going to be an upgrade

The 622 (mm) refers to the Bead Seat Diameter = where rim and tire overlap.

All 700C tires ALSO have a 622 mm BSD, so they will mount to the rim.

There is little improvement to be had from going below 28 mm in widt, particularly on your bike.
